Minutes
Meeting of high authorities of the region where the opportunities and challenges of the present and future of the use of artificial intelligence will be addressed.

ABOUT THE FORUM

Artificial intelligence has the potential to be an ally for the development of our countries and in the fight for a more equitable, fair and sustainable future, but it can also deepen divisions, exacerbate gender disparities and infringe human rights and freedoms.

UNESCO, CAF and the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation of Chile have joined forces to promote the first Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence Latin America and the Caribbean, which seeks to install a regional council to implement the UNESCO AI Ethics Recommendation, being the main political and technical space with an ethical, inclusive approach and guarantee of rights, which responds to the needs and priorities of our region.

Chile, a pioneering country in the development of AI policies, will host the Summit.
